Corporate Underwriter for LT |
I have
gained some great ideas on how to improve specific areas in our community.
While I am only one person, I hope that I can motivate others to further
the cause. Even if only one positive change happens from a course, the
value added is tremendous.

UVBEP
is pleased to announce our partnership with Leadership
Teacher® to offer an affiliate program for our Partner Schools:
Upper Valley Leadership Teacher.
What
is Leadership Teacher?
Leadership
Teacher is committed to using on-site program days and cutting edge technologies
to go beyond the traditional four walls of the classroom and creatively
connect in-school learning to the workplace.
Leadership Teacher offers K-12 educators an innovative approach to professional
development by creating opportunities for networking and building partnerships
with business and industry. Participants begin the yearlong program with
a retreat and then meet once a month through May at sites that demonstrate
workplace applications of specific curriculum areas. Leadership Teacher
has found that when districts send teachers from all levels, a common
thread in curriculum develops. Many school districts elect to send teams
of teachers from each level to encourage collaboration within individual
school.

Can
I earn graduate credit?
Leadership
Teacher participants who complete an independent study may earn up to
six graduate credits from Plymouth State University at a reduced cost.
How
is Leadership Teacher funded?
Leadership
Teacher fundraises half or more of the $1,400-per-participant cost. The
remaining $300-700 typically comes from the participating teacher's staff
development fund. Participating school districts pay this tuition directly
to Leadership Teacher.
Thanks to
sponsor support, LT is excited to offer special pricing for school districts.
Deduct $200 for teachers from UVBEP Partner Schools.
$700 per teacher for one teacher in LT I
$600 per teacher for two teachers in LT I
$500 per teacher for three or more teachers in LT I
We are hoping that this pricing will encourage districts to send 3 or
more K-12 teachers to participate in the program. We have found there
is great value when teams of teachers and guidance counselors from each
level (elementary, middle, and high school) participate.
