is a lumber manufacturer and building materials wholesaler. Tour
Britton’s manufacturing division, where you will visit the
log yard where logs are received, scaled, graded and stored; the
sawmill where the logs are debarked and sawn into lumber through
a series of saws, grading stations and piling areas; the boiler
and dry kilns, where the lumber is dried; and finally the planermill,
where the boards are trimmed, planed graded, tallied and packaged.
Briefly tour the wholesale distribution division, where a wide range
of building materials and lumber products are received, warehoused
and shipped to retail lumber dealers. Please come prepared to be
outside for a portion of the tour.
