Educator in the Workplace Conference

Workplace Tours: 3-4:30 pm
Post-session: 5-6 pm, Olympus Biotech, West Lebanon

Each fall, educators have the opportunity to explore Upper Valley resources for teaching. (Scroll down to see list of participating sites.) During site visits, participants can:

  • observe how their content areas are applied in local organizations
  • learn more about what skills are required in today's workplaces
  • gather information on career opportunities for tomorrow's workforce

After the site visits, educators and employers will gather for discussion and to exchange ideas on how to relate the experience to the classroom.

Conference Schedule:

  • 3:00-4:30 PM
    Participants meet at a selected site for interactive tours, demonstrations and discussion.
  • 4:30-5:00 PM
    Educators and Employers gather for refreshments and networking at Olympus Biotech, 9 Technology Drive, West Lebanon.
  • 5:00-6:00 PM
    Breakout groups brainstorm and present ways to integrate these resources and techniques into the classroom.

Professional Development:

The EITW conference is intended to offer a fresh perspective and professional knowledge in the content areas. Upon completion of the tour and post-session, each participant will receive a certificate for 3 hours of professional development. Certificates will be distributed at 6pm on November 1.
