Educator in the Workplace

Through this program, educators participate in interactive site visits to workplaces and observe how their content areas are applied in local organizations, learn more about what skills are required in today's workplace, and gather information on career opportunities for tomorrow's workforce.

Since 1999, over 250 educators from 32 Upper Valley schools have participated in tours coordinated by UVBEP. Over 40 workplaces have opened their doors to the educators offering interactive tours and demonstrations covering an array of subjects.

UVBEP first coordinated workplace tours for Upper Valley educators in November of 1999 by co-hosting Teaching High Tech Kids: Technology in the Content Areas with the Dartmouth Schools Partnership. In susequent years, UVBEP has offered the Educator in the Workplace: Seeking Relevance.

This year Educator in the Workplace will be offered on Tuesday, November 1, 2011.
