Workplace Tours

Educators participate in interactive site visits to workplaces and observe how their content areas are applied in local organizations, learn more about what skills are required in today's workplace, and gather information on career opportunities for tomorrow's workforce.

Over 200 educators from 11 Upper Valley school districts have participated in tours coordinated by UVBEP. Over 40 workplaces have opened their doors to the educators offering interactive tours and demonstrations covering an array of subjects.

UVBEP first coordinated workplace tours for Upper Valley educators in November of 1999 by co-hosting Teaching High Tech Kids: Technology in the Content Areas with the Dartmouth Schools Partnership. Each Fall since 2000, UVBEP has offered the Educator in the Workplace: Seeking Relevance.
