The Upper Valley Business and Education Partnership connects classrooms, communities and careers in the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. MissionThe Upper Valley Business and Education Partnership is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing teaching and learning by making educational experiences relevant to students and their futures. The Partnership serves as a bridge between the classroom and the world outside the classroom by linking community schools with local employers. Our programs integrate academic standards with career development to benefit all stakeholders: students, parents, educators, employers and the community. Meet our...HistoryThe Upper Valley Partnership formed in 1996 with Federal seed money through the School-to-Work Opportunities Act. Through traditional and innovative programs, the UVP linked classrooms with the community in Hanover, Lebanon and Mascoma School Districts. The Federal grant expired in March 1999. Fortunately, communities in the Upper Valley recognize the value of fostering relationships between local schools and employers. In November 1998, a team of dedicated community members representing all stakeholder groups from both Vermont and New Hampshire, incorporated the Upper Valley Business and Education Partnership. The Partnership achieved the nonprofit 501 (c)(3) tax exempt status and currently operates with the generous support of school districts, employers, community organizations and individual community members. MembershipThe UVBEP has 100 registered members representing all stakeholder groups. Anyone interested in working for improved school-community relations in the Upper Valley may become a member. Annual memberships (no dues required) include the following benefits for individuals:
